The "Bird's Eye View" from this condo is not like any other in our complex! Sit on the private porch outside your door and watch the pool, the passersby on Pavilion Drive on their way to the beach, the cars driving along Ocean Blvd....all while listening to the music that might be playing at Coconut Joe's or the laughter of kids having fun in the pool. It is a favorite of families who want to keep an eye on things but also of couples, friends, or singles who just want to bask in the beach's balmy breezes.
This condo has two entrances - one with the porch (by way of the steps on the other side of the building) and the other with a set of stairs by the pool area that has a landing and foyer area. The foyer is used by housekeeping so you may want to keep your door closed - it is not meant for guest storage but you may leave your shoes and beach gear in this area.
When you take the entrance by the pool, you walk into the bright cheery condo and the bathroom is right there on the left. PERFECT for coming in from the pool or the beach to use facilities without walking through the whole condo. Step down to the open living and dining area that is flooded with natural light from the 5 windows in the room.
The kitchen reminds me of a European style - compact but not too tight, and great use of space. It is actually elevated 3 steps - a throwback from the original building design from "way back" when the original footprint of the building was not only elsewhere on the island, it was much smaller than it is today. (There is history here....we'll be happy to tell you about it during your stay!) The kitchen has everything guests need to prepare meals - oven, stove, pots, pans, dish- and drink-ware, etc. Coffee maker, toaster, and various accessories such as trays are also here for guests to use. There is no dishwasher but we provide plenty of towels so you can wash your own. Or better yet....eat out....
The living space has a new queen sofa-bed and a TV with cable. There is a dining table right beside the window so whoever is working a crossword puzzle can also keep an eye on the teens by the pool. Pull the table out for more space around it - add extra seats that can be found in the bedroom closet.

One thing to note (again) is the location of the bathroom. It is not attached to the bedroom. This is a consideration in terms of access when guests will be using the sofa bed. Guests in the bedroom need not be disturbed by those passing through to use the facilities. And, showering at any time need not be a disturbance to others in the condo.
On the Ocean Inn property you will find a pool and two grill areas for use by owners and guests, fee parking, and shared laundry facilities just steps away. (You will need quarters - we'll remind you of that before you get here.)
Some of our properties have "minimum nights required" to make a reservation on weekends, holidays, and during the summer season. To check availability for a shorter stay, please send a message / inquiry. If it's possible, we'd be happy to accommodate you.
Waterview Property Management, LLC manages this vacation rental. This may be described by the website as a new listing, depending on the booking site used. We assure you - The Ocean Inn is a tried and true, well loved property! There are reviews "out there" even if not on this site. Just search the name.

About the OwnerThelma and Siebelt (T&S Properties) managed and lived at The Ocean Inn for many years. They own this condo and two others and are happy to share these vacation spots with their guests. They have tried to anticipate all their guests might need without adding unnecessary clutter. Guests will find this and other condos to be well-stocked and well-maintained. Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00 %) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

** Your reservation is confirmed when the deposit is paid. Balance is due 30 days before arrival. Balances are deducted automatically from the card on file. In the event of payment failure, a grace period of 24 hours is given to remedy the payment.
** You will receive email 7 days prior to your arrival with essential check-in information, key code, pet policy reminder, and parking pass. Please print all documents and bring with you.
** All items available for your use - soaps, linens, towels, starter paper products - will be in your condo upon arrival. Routine linen and towel exchanges are not provided during your stay. If linens or towels need refreshing, there is an on-sight laundry for guests to use. Cost is $1.50 or $2 in quarters per load, washer or dryer. Guest is responsible for replacing their own paper and soap products if starter amounts are used during their stay. It is not necessary to replace these for future guests.
** All of our properties are NO SMOKING properties. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please discard appropriately. Deposit will be forfeited and additional cleaning charges incurred if evidence of smoking indoors is found upon departure. THIS INCLUDES smoking by an open door or window so that smoke enters the condo. Please smoke away from these areas.
** Please dispose of cigarette butts - birds think they are food. We ask that you PLEASE do not throw them in the parking lot or the grass for someone else to pick up.
** Guests are responsible for following the Isle of Palms 10PM noise ordinance.
